XCVIII (98) is a Detroit-based alternative pop band trying to realize a shared dream of playing Detroit stadium, Ford Field. A dream to not only help themselves find hope, but a dream to help inspire their city and the world to believe in itself — even in the face of brokenness and nihilism.
XCVIII smoothly blends together crafted pop melodies with alternative, jazz, and electronic textures and production. Influenced by The 1975, Mk.gee, PinkPantheress, Sade, and Daft Punk, XCVIII has an affinity with distilling nostalgia into hyper-modern forms.
